MEET SHAWN DIDDY, one of the industries most versatile talents. Shawn, or "She Diddy", is an award-winning reporter, speaker, actress, vocalist and spunky television host. She's hosted a cooking show with Food Network's Emeril Lagassee and a crafting show with HGTV's Carol Duvall. Shawn travels the world reporting on fashion trends, styles and personal wellness. She is a member of the Gemological Institute of America and is certified with the American Council on Exercise. She has been a guest expert on QVC, a host on Shop at Home and traveled as a media expert for Jewelry Television. Shawn is now a lifestyles expert on ShopNBC and ShopNBC.com where she offers the "Belita" Platinum Embraced ™ Jewelry line. It's not just about "The Bling" with SheDiddy. Shawn's goal is to help women feel great inside and out. Shawn held the title of Miss Iowa USA and represented her state in the 1997 Miss USA Pageant on CBS television. She is a certified Lifestyle and Weight Management Consultant & Personal Trainer. Ms. Diddy developed a program called SENSE (Scheduling, Education, Nutrition and Self Esteem). She's been a keynote speaker in regard to style and self-esteem since 1993 for various companies and women's organizations and is currently writing a book related to these important topics. Shawn continues to host health and fitness programs and also works as a national health reporter for Chicago-based ENN-TV (Event News Network). Her list of interviews on the subject of health and wellness is comprised of renowned physicians, experts, and celebrities including CNN's Larry King and ABC's Sam Donnelson. Her quick-witted yet intelligent style has earned her numerous kudos and award nominations, including a Bronze Telly and Communicator Award in 2006. ACTRESS: STAGE, TELEVISION AND FILM: A media celebrity in her own right, Shawn has worked in many facets of the industry. Raised in Iowa, Shawn later moved to the east coast where she joined the cast of various television programs including America's Most Wanted, HBO's "The Wire", NBC's "The West Wing" and HGTV's "A Holiday Haven", she then spent time in Los Angeles on various TV, commercial and film sets. Shawn Diddy is a multi-faceted performer and has held stage and musical theatre roles including Guenevere in Camelot with the Pasadena Theater Company and roles under the direction of Randall K. West and the Way off Broadway Theater Company. Her work also includes industrial videos, CD-ROMs and voice overs. She is a champion of women in the film industry and served on the board of Women In Film and Video of Maryland for 3 years. She worked with renowned film director Agznesia Holland in HBO's Shot Through the Heart and with actress Sissy Spacek in Tuck Everlasting. Shawn also starred in a feature length children's film called "Paws and Claws: Operation Rescue" as well as an art house thriller called "The Offering" where she was thrilled to work with an excellent crew and cast including Lonnie Schuyler (Melrose Place, Models Inc). VOCALIST/ EVENT EMCEE: In other ventures, Diddy traveled internationally to Japan as a media representative and vocalist. She also recorded a country music CD in Nashville, TN. Shawn has performed for numerous events and (as a race fan) she especially enjoyed singing the national anthem on ESPN-TV for the Sprint Car National races. She was also honored with Northeast Iowa's Community Service Award. She continues to dedicate time to her favorite charities and often serves as an event MC and vocalist. INFOMERCIAL HOST/ DIRECT RESPONSE EXPERT: After she was a regular guest on QVC, Scripps Networks and Emeril Lagasse caught Shawn's talent as a television shopping expert and tapped her to host the first nationally presented cross marketing program joining The Food Network and Shop at Home - the program was called "From Emeril's Kitchen." Shawn co-hosted more than 100 episodes and broke records of new customers, viewership and product sales. She also co-hosted "Carol Duval's Let's Get Crafting," uniting DIY, the Do It Yourself Network, with Shop at Home viewers. Celebrities including Florence Henderson, Naomi Judd and General Hospital's Jacqueline Zeman joined Shawn in other programs. Following her tenure at Shop at Home, Shawn was a host on Jewelry Television. She has offered a variety of products in over 6,000 hours of live programming as a national television shopping host. Yes, it was all LIVE - There were no teleprompters, minimal scripts and no "net". Her merchandise sales total over 20 Million dollars.
